Q: Is there a charge to be listed in this directory?
A: Yes there is. At present, there are two options: 1 Year Listing = $75 or 2 Year Listing = $125.

Q: Which of the following accommodations do you accept in your directory - Vacation rental condo (condominium), cottage, villa, room to rent, house, home, B & B (bed and breakfast)?
A: We accept all of the accommodations from the list. Generally we do not accept hotels or large resorts. All other forms of accommodations are considered for acceptance.

Q: Walk me through the process of submitting my accommodation information for consideration.
A: Click on Submit Vacation Rental in the top or bottom menu, fill in your name to show that you accept the conditions, select the listing option (1 year or 2 year), provide your payment information over our secure server, and then fill in the information for your accommodation listing. An editor will then review your submission. Our editors reserve the right to NOT accept a site due to poor design, inappropriate content or content that is not pertinent to Maui accommodations. Our editors also reserve the right to change submitted titles, keywords & descriptions and reject photos which are of marginal quality.

Q: What does the vacation rental information submission page look like?

Q: If my vacation rental is accepted, will it be on the directory forever?
A: Sites on the directory will stay listed until the expiration of your payment. In some cases sites will stay on longer, but will lose priority and taken off if other sites are added to the same category.

Q: What do I do if I want to change my title or description after the site has been accepted?
A: Send an email with your request to our editors by clicking Contact on the menu. Only critical changes will be considered.

Q: My area is not listed in the directory. It is outside Upcountry Maui (Paia, Makawao, Haiku, Kula, Huelo), Wailea, Kihei, Hana, Kaanapali, Lahaina, Kapalua, Kahului, Wailuku etc... How can I suggest another area category?
A: When you submit your site, there is an option for suggesting a new category. You can also send an email with your area category suggestion by clicking Contact on the menu. A new category will be added if our editors can not place a listing in any of the existing categories.

Q: What are the Editor's Picks?
A: These are vacation rental web sites which our editors have chosen for quality content and design.

Q: When I am submitting my site, what does Button Image URL (Optional) mean?
A: This is an option that is available if you would like to include a photo of your Maui accommodation with your submission. If you put in the URL to an image (pointing to a web server), it will come up on the directory listing page. Make sure your image is not larger than 300 x 300 pixels (at 72 dpi), otherwise the editor will not accept the image.

Q: My company rents out vacation rentals. Can I submit our vacation rentals to this directory?
A: Yes you can. However your listings will not be listed under an area or location. Your company's web site will be listed in the RESOURCES category.

Q: Is this directory just for Maui vacation rentals? How about for Oahu, Kauai or for rentals outside Hawaii?
A: Sorry this directory is ONLY for listings located on the island of Maui. To submit your listing to one of the other island directories, click on the appropriate vacation rental website at the bottom of this page. For rentals outside Hawaii, generally we do not list the directory. However, some may be found in the Resources section of the directory.

Q: What happens if I spam this directory?
A: A listing can only be listed one time in only one category. If our editors find that you have been spamming the directory, your site will be taken off and you will not be allowed to list on the directory again.

Q: I do not want to be on this directory, can you take my listing off?
A: Listings can be taken off, but allow time for this to take effect. Click Contact on the menu and send an email with your name, phone number, visiting url, and password (if you submitted the site yourself).
